Hi! I'm Coshy and welcome to my profile! Ever since I was born, I've always had an affinity for games. I was addicted to them all throughout my childhood. By the time I began middle school, they became much more than just entertainment to me, they became a tool. I began experiencing severe anxiety and depression. I also became incredibly prone to stress, so much so that when I was stressed, I would lay on the ground and start convulsing. The games helped me to cope with reality and helped me to forget my daily struggles.
I always thought the idea of making video games was cool, so I started to learn how to code in Python, but it didn't really keep me captivated and I didn't get very far. I started high school and my life went way downhill. My anxiety and stress had gotten worse and I didn't know what to do. I felt like I was all alone in this world with no purpose. That's when I began learning how to code again. But this time it felt different; I actually liked learning it. I began to code in my free time at school and soon became addicted. I became proficient in three programming languages (Python, C#, C++) in a matter of two months.
I decided to put my coding skills to the test and set out to make my childhood dream come true: become a video game developer. I installed Unity and got to work. I learned how to make my own clicker game and I realized something: the whole time I was designing and coding the game, I had a lot less anxiety and stress. I discovered a new outlet, one greater than anything I've ever had in my life.
I'm now eighteen years old and in my last year of high school. I've made a few games on Unity and am constantly trying to learn new things. I still greatly suffer from anxiety, depression, and stress, but making games and being able to share them with the world help me out a lot. I hope that someday, I will be able to make people happy with my games, the way others have made me happy with theirs. :)
